Job Description

Job Title: Marketing Coordinator from 1 Dec 2023 until 15 February 2024Department: Marketing & CommunicationsJob Scope: To assist the Marketing Manager with the planning and execution of the Marketing and Communications campaigns for Proactiv Entertainment events in Abu DhabiOrganizational Relationships:Reporting to: Accountable to Proactiv Entertainment Marketing & Communications ManagerResponsible for: Management of any other freelance members within the Marketing & Communications departmentInternal Communication: Proactiv Entertainment TeamExternal Communication: Stakeholders, contracted agencies and third-party suppliersKey Responsibilities:

  • Assist and take the lead on certain tasks confidently.
  • Prepare weekly reports.
  • Suggest ways to tweak and enhance the marcomms campaign.
  • Liaise and coordinate with third-party agencies, such as PR and/or social media agencies, ensuring all campaign elements are executed smoothly and on-brand.
  • Liaise and coordinate with suppliers, such as production (marketing collaterals, venue branding, etc.) and media buying agencies (outdoor).
  • Liaise with our Graphic Design department.
  • On-ground support pre and during event days (build-up, venue branding, media day, content capture, etc.)
Skills and Qualifications:Skills:
  • Good marketing skills and understanding of events industry.
  • Strong communicator with excellent influencing, negotiation and relationship building skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (including the ability to draft understandable, clear and consistent documents on topics within the areas of responsibility)
  • Will have a high degree of integrity and a high sense of personal and professional ethics.
  • Ability to consider and advice on the consequences of various courses of action, including an understanding of the repercussions on other activities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks independently, organize priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Detailed attention to quality of deliverables.
  • Desire and ability to demonstrated initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail, by being thorough and responsible.
  • Ability to proofread and review accurately (Prepare and review copies, marketing collateral, contracts, etc.)
  • High level of stress tolerance.
  • Comprehension of complexity of the work hours and attitude thats required on the lead up and during the event (almost 30 days of daily on-ground and office work)
  • Strong administrative skills, aptitude and/or experience.
  • Fluency in English is a must
Qualifications
  • Minimum qualification of MBA or postgraduate. Preferably in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
  • Valid UAE driving license
Preferred Experience:
  • 2-3 years of demonstrated excellence in a dynamic, creative, multi-faceted marcomms event role.
  • Marketing & Communications experience in events in the UAE.
  • Experience with project administration (ideally Event Marketing).
