Job Description

SynopsisIn this role, you are accountable to manage the identification and visualization of data insights and descriptive analysis in Etihads operations division and manage cross-departmental data projects that contribute to a cost-efficient and optimal operation. Conduct deep-dive analysis covering all aspects of the operation and presented findings to relevant business units and assist in defining and implementing action plans to improve on operational KPIs. Accountabilities

  • Manage data analysis function within Etihads operations division with focus on generating business insights relevant to the divisions key performance indicators, such as OTP, MHB, customer satisfaction and fuel efficiency.
  • Responsible for creation of new and upkeep of existing reports & dashboards with maintaining a repository of all reports under the remit of Operations Analytics unit.
  • Conduct data exploration and wrangling of raw datasets and unstructured data using schema-on-read based data platforms.
  • Prepare and present analysis outcomes to various business units in the operations division and collaborate closely with other analytical functions within the company.
  • Develop analysts in using and being familiar with MS PowerBI visualizations and provide further guidance on use of programming languages, such as R and Python subject to business use-case.
  • Establish annual fuel and fuel saving budget for Etihad and track actual burn along with realized savings and prepare results for presentation to executive and chief level.
  • Be familiar with season schedule block analysis, review of historic guest and baggage connectivity information and airport movement compliance review.
Education & Experience
  • Undergraduate degree and min. 8years work experience
  • Minimum of 5years work experience in aviation preferable in airline industry with analytical and operations related focus.
  • Ability to lead a team and engage closelywith senior level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Background should include hands-on analytics experience and using Data analysis and visualisation tools (PowerBI or Tableu or similar).
