About the RoleThe jobholder is responsible to develop a global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy and Roadmap that is in line with and contributing to the overall Sustainability Framework, Policy and Strategy, and Borouge Corporate Strategy and supports the strategic objectives of ADNOC and the UAE government.The jobholder is accountable to manage the international CSR Projects to ensure that Borouge positively impacts all the communities and environments where it operates globally and supports the sustainable development of the company and the overall plastics industry for both Borouge ADP and Borouge Pte, in line with the Company s values and capabilities, and internationally recognised standards. This includes government bodies and academic institutions.The jobholder is responsible to present the plastics products as valuable commodities for the communities while promoting Borouge s CSR pillars and objectives. The jobholder is responsible to communicate, present and educate the importance of the plastics industry and how plastics add value to society and positively affects life.This role includes; identifying, leading and communicating the external Community Investment initiatives that improve the reputation of the company and support its role in the community (i.e. Water for the World, Waste Free Environment). In addition to providing clear guidelines for the implementation of Community Investment and Sponsorship activities globally, the jobholder is the direct custodian of the company-wide, and ADNOC and Borealis joint initiatives. The jobholder role must provide feedback to management and based on Social Return on Investment metrics, develop and implement plans to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of the initiatives..About YouQualification?University degree in Chemical Engineering, or other relevant degree?Master s degree in Strategic, Marketing or Business related disciplines is preferred?Fluency in English Language is a must; oral and written. Arabic Language is desired.?Well-established computer skills; i.e. Microsoft OfficeExperience, Knowledge & Skills?Minimum of 8 - 12 years of total experience?Minimum of 6 years of experience in CSR, Sustainability, or equivalent designations within the Business Excellence, or Communications.?Preferred to have 3 - 5 years of experience in HSE, Operations, Polymers Product or Applications.?Experience in Petrochemicals, Polymers, is preferred.?Proven hands on corporate communication and event management?Exposure to develop tactical and operational strategies.?Hands on Return on Investment studies and analysis?Knowledge of product stewardship practices and concepts is preferred?Understanding of sustainability strategies and management systems?Understanding of key sustainability issues in the oil and gas and petrochemical industry?Knowledge of international sustainability standards, codes and work practices.?Strong influencing capabilities especially in a multi-stakeholder environment?Ability to work effectively with other people and in teams?Strong strategic, tactical, and analytical thinking?Strong presentation and reporting skills?Strong communication and inter-personal skills?Excellent group leadership facilitation abilities?Highest standards of professional and ethical behavior
