Job purpose:? Ensure that all plant maintenance is accomplished in accordance with authorised plans, procedures, schedules and budgets.Health and Safety:? Job Holder works at Plant in a controlled potentially hazardous power plant environment.Risks:? The daily work tasks performed represent risks that could lead to serious accidents which are controlled by means of procedures, PPE (personal Protective Equipment), supervision, safety devices and HSSE Team.Exposure to Risks:? Traffic/vehicles accidents.? Risks inherent to the job of Fireman while performing site inspections, firefighting and equipment maintenance activities.Main Activities:1. Direct the implementation of established maintenance procedures.2. Initiate the scheduled preventive inspection and maintenance of all plant, equipment, machinery, facilities and other physical assets related to his function.3. Review and recommend new maintenance plans, procedures and schedules.4. Implement necessary established schedules for the proper maintenance and allocation of manpower, material, machinery and equipment resources assigned to the plant.5. Develop and guide the implementation of work safety procedures and practices.6. Maintain such communications and relations as are necessary to report on the status of matters requiring action and to ensure that corrective action is planned and undertaken.7. Evaluate and provide recommendations on maintenance methods, procedures and schedules.8. Maintain a current knowledge of plant operational conditions.9. Receive and evaluate pertinent reports, relating to cost and progress of maintenance activities on the plant and transmit analysis to the Plant Manager.10. Coordinate with third party representatives as necessary.11. Control maintenance operations and take any necessary corrective action to ensure compliance with approved plans and budgets.12. Determine and schedule the manpower requirements for each maintenance activity.13. Prepare reports and appropriate recommendations to help evaluate work progress and take appropriate action.14. Work closely with outside inspection and overhaul contractors and provide them with all necessary support.15. Supervise, direct and coordinate the activities of all engineers and other assigned personnel.16. Implement established policies and procedures for the purchasing or requisitioning of material from stores.17. Prepare and establish annual and preventive maintenance schedules.18. Maintain appropriate records of mechanical/civil maintenance methods and procedures.19. Review and recommend mechanical/civil maintenance methods and procedures
