Job Description

Horticulture Engineer Abu Dhabi, UAE Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Horticulture Engineer to join our team!What Youll Be Doing:

  • Experienced horticulturist knowledge of suitable plantation in gulf areas landscape design and construction supervision in big landscaping projects.
  • Nursery visits for selections of plantation for the project and preparing relevant reports and presentations.
  • Reviewing related material submittals, shop drawings, details, method of statements, as-built drawings, O&M manuals in accordance with project requirements.
  • Reviewing the approved pesticides to be used for trees, shrubs, Grasses and ground covers and monitor proper applications at site.
  • Site inspections/visits and ensuring work compliance with projects specifications, contract obligations and authority standards.
  • Coordination/communications with other services works, design team for site technical issues and solving problems in timely manners.
  • Ensuring all related works at site are being executed accordance to approved HSE plans and method statements.
  • Observing site activities and preparing reports and schedule for management and client.
  • Monitoring the landscape maintenance works including, pruning/shaping, weeding, cleaning and managing pest/disease control measures at site.
  • Reviewing the project closeout documents and participate in handing-over project to asset-owner/authority.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills Youll Bring:
  • Bachelor degree in Horticulture or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 8-years experience majority in construction supervision for landscape projects
  • Computer skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD Software
