The practitioner provides the learning environment for planned and improvised experiences using the provided and self-created theme based resources to help the students reach the early learning goals (ELGs) set for their age group and move onto the next stage while keeping accurate daily and termly records for the nursery and the child. Daily expectations:Being aware of the mission, vision and values of the school and knowing and implementing the policies and procedures of the school.Reporting any unidentified adult to the office immediately. Reporting and changing all unsafe practices in the nursery. Keeping the students safe at all times and ensuring you are monitoring the students at all times by placing yourself with the children in front of you. Safely managing the learning experiences, risk assess the area on arrival and check the resources in the nursery for danger. Being aware of acceptable risk and monitoring the environment constantly.Being the last person to leave with the children so you know all are with you. Communication in your team and to others If you are leaving the area, hand over to the next senior person informing them of all important information including number in your group, medicine, bite watch, potty training etc.Finding ways to implement these into your daily lessons and monitoring spontaneous showing of the MVVs by students.Recording student suggestions and how they are implemented in your class and sending these weekly to the receptionist for placement on the server. Being aware and implementing healthy practices to support a healthy workplace for the children and monitoring cleanliness of the areas you are in, reporting any issues to the deputy floor supervisor.Reiterating the golden rules every day and maintaining discipline by using the traffic lighting system, reward, the golden hour box, thinking chair.Developing and fostering the appropriate social skills for every child. After the child is settled and eating, helping them find a friend to play with. Teaching children the golden rules every day and being aware of our home / school agreement with parents.Linking learning to context and real life where possible and challenge students to try new things. Being enthusiastic in class.
