Drives and operates on assigned shift various lifting capacilities (2 - 15 Tons) of Forklift Trucks to remove,transport, lift, load, unload vehicles or stack a variety of materials, bulky equipment, crates and generalmaterials. Carries out regular, routine maintenance and servicing work on Forklift to ensure safe working atall times. Ensure compliance of company HSSEQ policies, procedures and guidelines.Forklift Operation? Receives instructions from the assigned CargoSupervisor/Cargo Assistant and proceeds in the Forklift to thedesignated location to carry out assigned tasks.? Lifts, moves, transports, loads, unloads, and stacks, by meansof the Forklift, a variety of items such as boxes, crates,equipment, piping, fuel and diesel oil drums, and generallybulky materials, from and into racks, vehicles, warehousesand general store yards. Items may include expensive/sensitive equipment i.e. diamond bits, instruments and panels.? Drives and operates a Diesel or Electric Forklift Truck, bystarting motor, shifting hydraulic levers and pedals, perfectinglifting position and ascertaining weight of materials to bemoved versus the lifting capacity of the Forklift.? Carry out pre-job operational check for mobileequipment/vehicles to ensure that they are kept in goodoperating condition. Includes checking of fuel, water, oil,battery, tire pressure, brakes and lights, and reportingmalfunctions to Equipment Supervisor to arrange formaintenance.? Carries out other similar or related duties such as assistingRiggers in the manual movement of bulky items, determininggood storage position.VALID UAE Forklift Driving Licence required
