Job Description

SCOPE OF WORK FOR FIRE FIGHTER 10 Qualified Fire Fighters to cover the Plant round the clock in day / night shifts (as per Company Operation shift Rota). All plant areas will be covered to prevent and respond to extinguish / control of Fire Emergencies, oil / chemical spill & leakage and medical or any other emergencies if any.Contract 3 YearsFire Fighters will be in each 12 hrs. shift. Fire fighters will remain in plant Fire station as back in case of Emergency during their Rota. Each fire Fighter will have 02 days and 02 Nights duty during their Rota. Each Fire Fighter will have 04 days off. Basic Qualification and experience of Fire Fighters: ?Good physical health and medically fit as Fire Fighters. ?Have a high school diploma or its equivalent. ?Have a Heavy-Duty Vehicle driver's license to drive & operate the Fire Trucks Pump operation. ?Firefighting techniques as per NFPA ?Approved as Fire Fighter & Firs aider from Dubai Municipality / Government. Trainings: ?Advance level training of Fire Fighting and dealing emergencies. ?Hazardous materials awareness and control spill / release. ?Trained / approved First aider to deal with medical emergencies. ?Learning building codes to give fire inspections ?How to carry out rescue operations ?Rescue training from height and confines space ?Fire risk assessment NFPA Standards knowledge: ?NFPA 1: Fire Code ?NFPA 10: Standard for Portable fire extinguisher ?NFPA 12: Standard on Carbon Dioxide Extinguishing System ?NFPA 13: Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems ?NFPA 14: Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems ?NFPA 20: Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection ? NFPA 72: National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ?Daily in each shift Fire Fighters will make plant round to check the whole plant Fire Fighting system (Fire Pumps, Fire Extinguishers, Fire hose reels, Fire hose cabinets, Fire sprinkler and suppression system). Condition. ?Daily in each shift Fire Fighter will check, inspect and operate the Fire truck, to check the healthiness, Fuel availability and operational condition. ?Daily in each shift will visit & monitored the plant Hot work permit activities / areas. ?Perform & participate with operation in Weekly Fire pumps routine tests ?Perform & participate with operation in Monthly Fire Pumps performance test. ?Perform the monthly inspection / report of Fire Fighting Equipments, spill kits, SCBAs and Eye wash & Showers as per Emergency equipments inspection procedure. ?Inspect & report the defects / unavailability of Fire Fighting system / Equipments to Operation / HSSE. ?Monitor & arrange alternate Fire Fighting system in case of impairment or unavailability of Fire Fighting system / Equipments in the area. ?Provide the rescue in case of working at height or Confined space incident. ?Provide the First aid for injured, CPR and use of AED when required. ?Arrange preparation, readiness and response in case of Emergency drills and real incidents (Fire, medical, oil, chemical or gas leakage. ?Provide the Fire Fighting training to all employees / ERT (Emergency response team). ?Perform & participate with operation during deluge system test. ?Participate / Continue closeout follow-up of the observations / findings in internal / external audits. ?Each Fire Fighter need to provide the daily Progress / Shift report including Fire Fighting system, Fire trucks and any other observation / status.
