Job Description

SynopsisPerform all daily routine activities within the GL function, responsible for creating, reviewing and maintaining the Companys accounting records. Accountabilities

  • Process GL records to close function in compliance with relevant internal controls and related company policies
  • Prepare and post accrual accounting entries for accrued expenses, accrued income and reclassifications, where required
  • Carry out month closing variance analysis and post adjustment journals where required
  • Support in preparation of monthly reporting packs in compliance with IFRSs and company policies
  • Liaise with operations to ensure costs are accounted for on in the correct month
  • Prepare balance sheet schedules and coordinate with other finance departments to obtain schedules for the respective areas
  • Prepare bank reconciliation statements
  • Prepare supporting schedules to support financial statements audit and control.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Finance or equivalent
  • ACCA qualification, or equivalent is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Oracle Experience would be advantageous
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent English communication (Verbal and Written)
