Completion of a two (2) year ECG certificate or diploma program in Medical Sciences or Allied Health, OR BSc Nursing with evidence of formal ECG training, is requiredExperience:? Minimum of two (2) years postgraduate experience as an ECG technician is required? Applicants with Nursing background require two years cardiac experience and evidence of ECG trainingLicense:? Current and clean medical license to practice in country/state of originJob Duties and Responsibilities:? Performs ECG tests on patients? Applies electrode tabs and electrodes to patient s chest and limbs and removes upon test completion? Applies Holter monitor, ambulatory BP monitor and cardiac event monitors to patients? Escorts patients into treatment room and/or transports equipment to patient s bedside? Explains test procedures to patient and answers questions? Ensures that rooms are stocked with linens and machine supplies? Maintains cleanliness in treatment rooms? Operates electrocardiograph machines to record electromotive variations? Inputs patient demographic data into computer? Charts preliminary report in patient s medical record? Documents applicable notes on ECG records and reconciles in Tracemaster? Performs related clerical duties as needed
