Amazon Web Services (AWS) has an exciting internship opportunity in Abu Dhabi (Kizad area) available for a UAE national with family book. AWS are committed to contributing towards the UAEs goal of employing 75,000 Emiratis in the private sector and Ministerial Resolution No.279.AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Data Center Engineering Operations Technician Interns to join our expanding team on a 12 week full-time internship program in our Data Center in Abu Dhabi (Kizad area) As an AWS Intern, you will collaborate with experienced Amazon Technicians to ensure that the Data Centers mechanical, electrical and plumbing operates at 100% availability while maintaining first-class customer service to the teams and groups within the data centers. You will be tasked with driving innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.The Engineering Operations team is Amazons front-line responders for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operations. you will work with equipment that supports mission-critical servers and must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand-by diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.Are you ready to embrace the challenge Come build the future with us.Key job responsibilities

  • Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Assist root cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal SLA
  • Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Utilize internal CMMS to manage building workflows
Basic Qualifications :. In pursuit of a Bachelors Degree within a relevant field such as mechanical/electrical engineering .OR. a certification from a Technical/Trade school program (HVAC, electrician, facilities maintenance, or similar) with 2024 graduation date . Ability to work well with others in a team environment, displaying strong time management skills. UAE National with family bookPreferred Qualifications :. Experience in project or program Management.
