Job Description

Black Pearl is recruiting on behalf of a well-established healthcare provider in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Deliver consultant anesthetic care for neonates, infants and children undergoing congenital and acquired cardiac procedures. Multiple vacancies may be available. The successful physician will combine excellent clinical judgment with compassionate communication, multidisciplinary teamwork and a strong commitment to quality and patient safety.Key responsibilitiesú Provide preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia and immediate postoperative management for pediatric cardiac surgery and catheter-based interventions.ú Manage complex congenital heart disease cases, cardiopulmonary bypass, invasive monitoring, vasoactive therapy and perioperative emergencies.ú Collaborate with congenital cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, perfusionists, intensivists and specialist nursing teams.ú Support cardiac theatre, catheterization laboratory, transport and critical-care pathways within approved privileges.ú Participate in on-call coverage, clinical governance, morbidity and mortality review, simulation and service improvement.ú Provide safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered consultant care in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies and approved clinical privileges.ú Supervise junior medical staff, support multidisciplinary decision-making and promote effective communication with patients and families.ú Participate in clinical governance, incident review, quality improvement, credentialing, continuing professional development and departmental education.ú Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with infection prevention, medication safety, privacy and regulatory requirements.RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:Education and specialist qualificationsú Medical degree, recognized Anesthesiology specialty qualification, and formal Pediatric Anesthesia and/or Cardiac Anesthesia fellowship training with documented pediatric cardiac practice.ú The exact specialty and subspecialty award must be recognized under the current UAE Professional Qualification Requirements and support the requested Consultant title.ú Completion of internship and active, unrestricted professional registration/licensure in the current or most recent country of practice.Experience and licensingú Tier 1 qualification and DOH Consultant-level experience, with recent high-volume congenital cardiac anesthesia exposure.ú Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Department of Health - Abu Dhabi Consultant licence for the applicable base specialty/title.ú Applicants must demonstrate recent clinical activity, competence within the advertised scope and no unresolved licensing, credentialing or professional-standing concerns.ú For Tier 1 vacancies, the exact Tier 1 award is mandatory.
