This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest and most successful Foundation Trusts in the UK with an international reputation and a tradition of innovation.The successful candidates will be expected for? Attending weekly laboratory operational and quality meetings ( depending on agreed role)? Attending fortnightly infection control team meetings, monthly infection control working groups and quarterly infection control committee meetings and twice yearly attendance at Trust Board regarding DIPC report ( depending on agreed role)? Attending monthly water safety group and responding to issues that may arise with water tests e.g legionella ( depending on agreed role)? Regular antibiotic stewardship audits with the antimicrobial pharmacist ,usually formally done fortnightlyWe are looking for an enthusiastic, clinically focused Medical Microbiologist or Infection Specialist jointly trained in Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases to join the Microbiology team.You should possess MRCPath or equivalent and be on the Specialist Register of the GMC (or within six months of obtaining CCT).
