DUTIESú Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and codes by providing guidance and direction to civil engineering staffú Enhance efficiency and productivity by overseeing and reviewing engineering processes and resources on a regular basisú Plan the implementation of new engineering initiatives, including investigating new technologiesú Estimate the cost of projects and programs and maintain themú Assess the need for revisions to engineering standards, codes, and regulationsú Assess the compliance of engineering projects with applicable regulations, standards, and codesú Know the impact of emerging technologies on civil engineeringú Participate actively in professional activities, such as meetings and conferencesú Participate in professional organizations and maintain a professional image for civil engineeringú Analyze and resolve engineering problems and demonstrate effective skills in oral and written communicationResponsibilities:ú Manage a team of engineers, including reviewing specifications and bidding documents, scheduling appointments, and providing engineering advice and supportú Perform structural, hydraulic, and environmental engineering projects, and collaborate with project team members and clientsú Provide civil engineering support for all activities in the project, such as environmental permitting, permitting process development, and preliminary engineering, as well as during constructionú Coordinate with contractors and clients to resolve issues that arise during project executionú Conduct technical reviews of engineering drawings, plans, and specificationsú Establish and maintain effective working relationships with project team members and clientsú Identifying hardware needs: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand the hardware requirements of the facility, such as security systems, etc.ú Oversee the installation, setup, and configuration of hardware systems to ensure proper connectivity, functionality, and compatibility with existing infrastructure.ú Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues, perform regular maintenance activities, and implement preventive measures to ensure optimal performance and reliability.ú System Upgrades and Expansion: Assessing the need for hardware upgrades or expansion due to changing requirementsú Maintaining accurate documentation of hardware inventory, specifications, maintenance logs, and warranties. Maintaining asset lifecycles, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance.ú Training and Knowledge Sharing: Providing training sessions or documentation to educate users and colleagues on hardware-related topics, including equipment operation, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
