A. Accountabilities:? Initiate Backup and Restore jobs upon request? Manage backup policies, volume pools for daily, weekly & monthly backups? Monitor status of backups on daily basis and troubleshooting on backup failures? Monitor Tape libraries for drive failures / robot failures and fixing them, working with respective vendors for part replacements? Manage tape drives, robots and tape libraries? Import and export of media from tape libraries? Handle tape libraries and backup storage systems like appliances? Configure Policies including four parts attributes, schedules, clients, backup selections? Configure Storage Units, Storage unit groups, Storage lifecycle policy? Participate in Backup infra upgrades, patching NetBackup servers ? Configure Catalog Backups and monitor the catalog backups? Responsible for troubleshooting on various problems while taking backups and restores? Monitor the tape drives and its performance? Responsible for updating reports to client on daily, weekly and monthly activities? Analyze Logs and troubleshoot in case of any backup failure? Configure and performing NDMP backups? Responsible for Preparing weekly and monthly reports for user billing? Experience in backup reporting tools ? Monitor Active Monitor for current running backup jobs and failed backup jobs? Manage Devices for backups? Fix and trouble shoot the problems of failed backup jobsB. Qualifications:? Minimum 4 years of experience engineering solutions and instrumentation for Storage Area Networks (SAN) for mission critical, enterprise applications and databases? NetBackup backup product strong experience is required and hands on experience with VMware technologies, VMware ? Certified Professional is a plus.? Experience in Backup operations? Experience in servers platforms? Knowledge in Networking C. Education / Qualifications : ? Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent Discipline C. Generic & Specific Skills: ? Excellent Documentation Skills? Must have excellent command in English
