Basic Function:-To direct, assist and participate in various activities on assigned drilling rig during shift to meet drilling/work-over program. Includes directing the activities of Derrick-man and Floor-man, assisting in 'pulling out' and 'running in' drill pipe or casing, monitoring and reporting changes in drilling mud characteristics, directing housekeeping and ensuring adherence to safety regulations on rig floor.. Directs the activities of the drilling floor personnel involved in various drilling activities. Advises the Driller of any significant changes in drilling mud characteristics or mud levels and loss of circulation. Includes observing the mud flow and checking materials needed for 'pre-kick' conditions and informing the Driller of potential problems.Minimum requirements:- 6 years' experience in drilling operations.- Completion of Secondary (12 years) education followed by 2 years' full time study leading to an Industrial Diploma complemented by short training courses relative to offshore/onshore drilling operations.- Below 45 years- IWCF certification mandatory & Good knowledge of English.
