JOB PURPOSE(In one sentence why Job exists) Implementation, support and enhancement of Database Systems aligning to business growth, bank?s technology standards and security policies.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES ? To ensure safety, security and integrity of enterprise data.? To ensure optimum availability of IT Services to business, customers through high availability arrangements, performance monitoring, alerts / notifications and proactive controls.? Troubleshooting, debugging, and timely resolution of problem reported.? Technical analysis of issues reported by business team, alerting reporting authorities about identified technical glitches, escalation to application/database vendors and follow-up for early resolution.? To ensure timely update of database patches following approved change and release management procedure and policies.? Active participation and support in assigned on-going projects and new implementations for successful completion.? To ensure availability and timely renewal of support and maintenance contracts.? To implement and enhance Database baseline standards.? To ensure satisfactory audit ratings through strict adherence of policies, processes and procedures.? To submit KPI, IT Services availability and compliance reports.? To participate in the annual IT Budget process.? Generation of adhoc query outputs for business needs.? Oracle 12C, RAC and Dataguard Installation and Patch deployment? SQL Server Database, Replication and HA Installation and Patch deployment? SQL Server Data Tools, executing data loads & performing data modelling ? SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS development)? SQL Server Analysis Services & SQL Server Reporting Services? Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server and Release ManagementFRAME WORK, BOUNDARIES & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY(Nature of authority both financial & Non-financial if applicable) ? Evaluation of systems as per the business/project requirement.? Provide solutions, recommendations on solutions, products & preferred vendors during project initiations.
