Managerial Responsibilities:1. Participate in identifying and executing improvement opportunities and action plans based on actual performance.2. Manage and oversee the day-to-day work performed by all direct reports assigned in Process Area. Manage the budget allocation for the Section on an on-going basis.3. Perform periodic performance appraisals for direct reports.4. Optimize the use of available resources in carrying out the assigned responsibilities and ensure timely completion according to set standards.5. Identify the competencies and knowledge required for direct reports to perform their assigned responsibilities, and develop appropriate training plans to enhance performance.6. Implement relevant business and operating plan objectives and control the Section/Unit budget.7. Cascade YASREF?s operational priorities including profitability, reliability, safety & environmental requirements to all direct reports and support them in executing the daily activities in line with these priorities.Functional Responsibilities:1. Provide the necessary support to the respective OME team member before/after daily meetings to ensure high level of safety performance and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.2. Lead the area Operations Engineers to perform the day-to-day work in order to increase refinery profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards.3. Ensure accurate production in terms of quality and quantity as directed by Operations Engineering Superintendent and ensure the correct implementation of the guidelines provided to Operations.4. Supervise critical operational activities such as start-up, shutdown, and catalyst change, and provide technical support to the Shift Supervisors throughout these activities.5. Ensure the implementation of operational procedures and ensure correct application of operational tools by shift teams.6. Advice and provide input for developing the budget for catalyst chemicals and utilities consumption and expenditure of materials (bulk material, tools, and work wear).7. Participate in the risk analysis and investigation of unusual operational or maintenance activities.8. Motivate and control the permanent minimization hydrocarbon losses.9. Train the fresh engineers assigned to the area and monitor their development programs.10. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the P/U Operations Engineering Superintendent.
