Are you ready to help us make the future We have an opportunity for the Project Engineer II - Smart Cities to join our Honeywell Building Technologies Team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to work within the Engineering team, as a Smart City System Engineer, you will work closely with Proposal & Estimation, Project, Engineering and Supply Chain team members, and you will be responsible for Pre-Sales i.e. delivery of the high quality solution, estimates & proposals and Post-Sales Engineering works in line with Honeywell standards of quality. Project Engineer II - Smart Cities Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with Proposal & Estimation, Project and Engineering teams to ensure that the products being estimated, evaluated, installed, maintained and configured correctly as per the clients expectation.
  • Take Lead Role in Design & Estimation of Smart City System bids that get approved in the Bid / No-Bid and any other emergency Bids.
  • Provide accurate and most optimized technical solutions.
  • Work closely with the Bid Manager to prepare the Estimate and Proposal for Smart City bid.
  • Prepare Compliance Statement and all other technical documents required for bid submission.
  • Prepare price walk and competition analysis with the Bid Manager.
  • Responsible to initiate TRR and obtain approval on time - prior to bid submission.
  • Capture TRR recommendations in the estimate and proposal.
  • Facilitate the support required across different functions to the Solution Advisors within Honeywell to be able to gather the quality engineering proposals as a vital component of your bid proposal.
  • Must have ability to multitask and produce desired results in a deadline driven environment. Proposals include technical scope, commercial estimates, deliverables, schedules and terms and conditions and other variables to meet customer requests and expectations.
  • Responsible for preparing material submittals and obtaining approvals. Assist the Sales to convert the LOI to PO/Contract
  • Revise all Business & Functional requirements Documents and technical BoQs which should be matching with the RFP.
  • Providing a technical consulting for all technical offers
  • Integrate and support all technical teams and vendors.
  • Support in technical troubleshooting of software issues and follow up till closure while ensuring the software fix is of high quality and dont comprise any standards
  • Work in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders to ensure customers have devices that are fully operational and secure
  • Conducting demos/ PoC as required.
  • Create and revise all testing documents.
  • Responsible for quality checks on the software
  • Maintain all project plans and ensure compliance to timeframe and collaborate with stakeholders for all implementation processes.
  • Work on site and office as per business requirements.
  • Act as Technical SPOC to represent Honeywell in front of the customer, vendors, contractor with background have to be Solution architecture, Business analysis to help him to understand and maintain the technical (discussions , documentations , activities )
  • Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with engineering/technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
  • Will be responsible of (understand, manage, update) the technical architecture and manage the vendors technically to successfully achieve the technical targets
  • Manage the technical requirements of all the project vendors, attend all requirements workshops to control and guide the vendors to achieve the projects target and technical scope
  • Manage the integrations of all third-party systems which is a big number of systems and consider all integration requirements in the Project final design
  • Control the project technical scope and change control Part from Technical point of view to be able to discuss and challenge technically both Vendors and customer, also be involved intechnical evaluation and estimation for the requested Change orders
  • Support project team in preparation of technical handover documents
Qualifications & Experience:
  • BTech/BE degree in Electronic Communication, Computer science or any other Engineering stream from a reputed University
  • At least 7 years of total work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in design and estimation
  • Very Good command of English

  • Experience of developing, testing and debugging complex multi-threaded software in constrained hardware devices
  • Strong experience in building software considering non-functional requirements like security, performance, robustness, etc.
  • Experience in the software development of sensors integration
  • Experience in integration with gateways
  • Experience in Industrial applications and communication with field devices
  • Experience in IT network protocols like MQTT, HTTP, TLS. Experience in industrial protocols like modbus, OPC/UA, Bacnet, KNX and others appreciated Experience with the best practices for needed signals / points of electrical device
  • Experience in managing branches using Github or similar software
  • Experiences in managing firmware installation & upgrades
  • Experience in and rollout of software fixe
  • Deep understanding of the Linux ecosystem with an emphasis on components like the virtual file system, memory management, OS virtualization, Hardware Security Modules etc.
  • Background in Industrial IoT use-cases and understanding of Edge computing in the context of the edge devices, standards, protocols, reference architectures, like routers, gateways, PLCs, etc.
