Job Description

The opportunityProject: This is an opportunity to be involved in the delivery of major sports stadia and associated projects in Saudi Arabia. Mace is currently bidding for this programme which will require high-calibre and experienced people to lead teams throughout each phase of the project. The project controls manager will lead a project controls team on the stadium or facilities project build (planning engineering, cost engineering, change control, risk, and project controller for reporting). Interface across the projects project controls team to assure the quality of data and process adherence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical professionals with project controls management experience.
  • Understanding of all aspects of project control management and promoting value for money.
  • Managing the day-to-day operation of project control management.
  • Reporting functionally to the project controls department.
  • Adhering to the project controls management processes.
  • Managing and monitoring budgets, costs, planning/scheduling, management/reporting of changes and providing oversight, guidance, direction and escalation.
  • Managing the budgets, and baselines to meet the project objectives and assuring adherence to the policies and procedures of the government entity.
  • Understanding of the existing standards and processes and recommended tools, for development and use on the stadium development program.
  • Managing the project control departments knowledge transfer program which includes comprehensive on-the-job training.
  • Adhering to the department operating structure based on methodology and in alignment with government entity structure.
  • Adhering to standard project controls processes and procedures
  • Reviewing financial claims provided by contractors, consultants, supervisors, designers and any other contract under the supervision of the project management consultant.
  • Assuring the claims applications, in matters of the approved quantities and specifications, and in the required quality.
  • Reporting these claims to the project controls department and program director, on a monthly basis, after reviewing and assuring their correctness, then recommending their approval.
  • Following the process with the stage gate schedule.
  • Ensuring that the project provides input to monthly dashboards.
  • Preparing benefits map and benefits realisation for the project.
  • Reviewing, validating and consolidating project monthly dashboards and reports, and raising any issues and concerns
  • Issuing project dashboards and reports to concerned internal and external stakeholders.
