JOB DETAILSPosition Title: Engineer II - Production Reports to: Plant Manager - RNPC 2. JOB PURPOSETo oversee day to day operation (Production, Maintenance and Quality), to be responsible in driving process improvement and optimization, budget planning and execution of the sheet, injection and recycling plants & ensuring plant policies, procedures & safety rules are properly implemented and followed. 3. ACCOUNTABILITIESManaging Production Operations

  • Commit to operation safety procedures and work closely with HSE team to ensure all production staff are aware of safety policies and to provide a safe workplace for all employees.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing parameters, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points, initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning machine & personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Provide leadership, organize, and direct day-to-day operations in an
optimal manner
  • Assures product and process quality by stablishing product and process capabilities & establishing process standards.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Allocate resources and utilize assets effectively to produce optimal results
Driving process improvements
  • Gather and analyze data to identify areas of waste and constraints in the production process and provide solutions to improve.
  • Oversee operation expenses and identify ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality
  • Improves operation efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Coordinate with quality personnel to ensure quality standards are met
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analysing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.
  • Review the KPI monitoring systems and determine ways to improve their ability to maintain & improve plant operations.
People management
  • Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and manage and develop operation staff
  • Maintains staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data investigating issues identifying solutions recommending action.
4. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPSInternal:
  • Plant Manager, Maintenance Team, Quality Team, Sales Team, Planning, Supply Chain Team, HSE & other production departments.
5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLSMinimum Qualification:
  • Degree in a Technical, Engineering or relevant field.
Minimum Experience:
  • 6+ years proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role experience at a plastics manufacturing facility is a plus
Job Specific Skills:
  • Strong understanding of business and management principles (budgeting and resource allocation) and familiarity with finance and accounting practices
  • Strong computer skills (familiarity with MS Office suite - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Understanding of safety and quality systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies
  • Excellent leadership, planning, organizing, team-building, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Strong ability to motivate people and develop employees skills
  • Experience effectively communicating with employees and management
  • Highly motivated and results oriented
