Job Description

United Motors Group is looking for a dynamic and seasoned Auto Technicians / Mechanics to join its customer lifecycle team for one of the subsidiary National Marketing Company, the official Kia distributor in 7 regions - KSA western region.Job PurposeTo perform a variety of skilled technical tasks on automotive light vehicle repair, Provide quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through Manufacturer Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience. Provides explanations as necessary for needed repairs to employees and customers in a courteous and professional manner.Duties & Responsibility

  • Diagnose vehicle faults and perform repairs in accord with instructions provided by team leader or as per manufacturer?s technical manuals. Perform work according to UMC target times, to achieving productivity targets, and quality standards of the Company.
  • Maintain tools and equipment neatly and in good operating condition. Report loss, breakage, and faults to the team leader.
  • Ensure clock times (on/off jobs) are accurate, and that actually work performed is accurately written on the R/O.
  • Inspect each vehicle for additional work requirements. Secure approval from team leader for parts replacement, and/or additional work, which may be required.
  • Notify team leader ahead of time if the job completion deadline cannot be achieved.
  • Maintain control of replaced parts in accord with NMC procedures (warranty control, bagging if customer pay, core returns, scrap).
  • Exercise care of customer?s vehicles, utilizing covers and mats to avoid soiling the vehicle interior. Prior to beginning working on the vehicle, inspect for unreported damage or personal articles and advise team leader of irregularities.
  • Make effective use of special tools and equipment to improve work quality and productivity.
  • Maintain thorough and current product knowledge, reading manufacturers TSB and Recall notices and other technical publications made available. Use safety equipment provided by the Company and notify the team leader of unsafe practices observed in the workshop.
  • Utilize training provided by NMC and the Manufacturer to increase technical skills for the benefit of all parties. ( technical, customer, and NMC).
  • Perform other duties, assignments by team leader.
