Nair Systems is currently looking for SQL Database Administrator for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCERequired Qualifications:? Graduation in Computer Science / Related fields.? Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCSA ? SQL 2016 or above)? Microsoft Azure Fundamentals? Trained Oracle Database Administrator? Trained PostgreSQL Administrator (Added Value)Additional qualifications:? English ? Fluently Oral & Written? Excellent Computer literacyRequired Experience:? Having around 6+ years of experience as SQL Server DBA with SSRS, SSIS and Power BI.? Can support on PostgreSQL DBA and L1 support for Oracle Database as well.PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:? Positive attitude and personal motivationKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITES? Expertise on installing, configuring, managing, monitoring and troubleshooting SQL Server 2008/2008 R2/2012/2014/2019/2022? Installing SQL Server Stand-alone and clustered instances as per CIS Standards.? Configure SQL DB servers with Always On high availability feature and usage secondary replica for read -only connections and adding newly created databases to existing AAG.? Strong knowledge on Windows Failover cluster and Configuration of SQL failover cluster, SQL Always-On Feature with best Industry standards.? Very Strong knowledge on use of Always-On secondary for Read only connections like SSRS, SSIS, Power BI Tools.? Upgrading/Migrating SQL Servers from Old version to New Version which is latest.? Apply the Latest SPCU Patches on SQL Servers across all versions.? Fixing production DB issues escalated by Application support team? Worked on design High Availability and DR options.? Standardize all the servers and implemented best hardening practices.? Query optimizing and Performance Tuning, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.? Fixing linked server issues and permission issues on object level.? Creating Table level partitions for Big size specially for data warehouse.? Experience in Importing and Exporting SQL Server data. (SSIS)? Worked on Rebuild indexing and update statics, Integrity check of database.? Created SQL Server Audit for any change on Server and DB level by any one of authorized persons.? Configuring database mail, creating and managing maintenance plans and jobs? Proactively managing the Database Fragmentation to optimize the Application performance weekly basis.? Troubleshooting and resolving Database Integrity, Blocking and Deadlocking issues and DB Availability issues.? Follow ITIL Process and Meet the SLA (Service Level Agreement) established.? Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.? Using Scripting language like PowerShell, VBScript for Alerts and managing the SQL Database baselines.? Strong experience in mentoring team members and writing documentation.? Can build the SQL Servers Inventory, DB Inventory, patching status, other reports which is Management required to know.? Can manage MS SQL Server on Linux platform.? Expertise in designing the new Database Servers based on business requirements.? Expertise in Capacity planning for the database environment.? Created Linked Servers between SQL Server & Oracle Database systems.? Hands on experience in Database Backup and Recovery procedures.? Checking the status of Backup troubleshooting the failed backups and Restoration of databases? Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after office hours.? Use of extended events to capture the DDL events on the Database.? 24 X 7 Production Database on Call Support.Apart from above primary roles, should support on below roles as well.? L1 Support for Oracle database management.? Support for PostgreSQL Database management.? Power BI Reporting management and can build the reports.? Expertise with working on Linux ServersKEY COMPETENCIES? Using tools (Nagios, Splunk, Cisco AppDynamics APM, Oracle OEM, PostgreSQL Enterprise Manager, etc.) interactively to monitor the DB Servers health and performance, etc.?
