Job Purpose:The purpose of this role is to provide strategic financial leadership and operational excellence in support of DP World’s global freight forwarding business. Acting as a senior finance partner to the Global Head of Finance – Freight Forwarding, this position will play a key role in designing, implementing, and embedding standardized global finance processes, policies, and systems that enable scalable growth and high-quality financial governance across regions.The role will lead global finance governance by engaging with regional finance leaders to drive alignment with the group’s financial control framework and ensure compliance with key financial policies. It will also partner closely with the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) to enhance service delivery through automation, productivity improvements, and data-driven performance management.In addition, this role will support the ongoing integration of acquired entities, champion the use of global analytics tools and dashboards, and oversee the financial management and reporting of designated business units, including Smart Solutions Line (NVOCC), ensuring integrity, performance tracking, and strategic alignment with DP World’s target operating model.Key Accountabilities:Support the design and implementation of standardized global financial processes, policies, procedures, and definitions for the freight forwarding business; success will be demonstrated by up-to-date policies/SOPs that evolve with business needs and consistent compliance across financial processes.Contribute to the development and deployment of global KPIs to enable consistent and effective financial management across all regions; success will be measured by productivity improvements year-on-year until industry benchmarks are achieved.Collaborate with regional finance teams to establish a unified approach to financial management across both the GSSC and regional finance functions ; success will be demonstrated by an increase in value-added activities/FTEs at the GSSC and higher satisfaction/NPS scores from the regions.Coordinate GSSC finance outputs related to freight forwarding, ensuring high-quality delivery and operational efficiency. Define SLA/KPI frameworks and proactively resolve escalations from regional teams or the GSSC; success will be measured by delivery against agreed SLAs/KPIs and measurable productivity gains.Partner with Group Treasury to implement a global liquidity management strategy that meets business needs while optimizing return on capital employed (ROCE); success will be demonstrated by timely compliance and alignment with global treasury objectives.Work with GSSC leadership and Group Technology to define and enhance workflows and output requirements across CargoesRunner, BI Analytics, Oracle Fusion, and local ERPs, driving continuous improvement; success will be measured by well-documented workflows, enhanced automation, and year-on-year efficiency improvements.Facilitate regular financial performance reviews with regional finance teams. Conduct peer benchmarking and variance analysis to identify improvement opportunities and track progress toward profitability targets, success will be demonstrated by clear articulation of insights, measurable improvement actions, and accountability from regions; success will be demonstrated by the ability to clearly articulate performance insights, hold regions accountable for actions, and drive measurable improvement.Collaborate with the BI team to deliver comprehensive financial dashboards and analytics tools that support strategic decision-making and operational oversight; success will be measured by timely, relevant, and actionable insights adopted by stakeholders.Support and, where required, lead financial integration workstreams for newly acquired companies, ensuring alignment with reporting standards, systems, and the target operating model; success will be demonstrated by smooth and timely integrations with minimal disruption and alignment to the TOM.Serve as the finance lead for DP World’s nominated NVOCC, Smart Solutions Line, overseeing financial reporting and performance management in coordination with the Shared Services Centre; success will be measured by timely and compliant regulatory reporting (including VAT), effective board meeting governance, and proactive resolution of finance/legal mattersExperience, Skills and Qualification:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience, ideally in a financial fieldChartered Accountant or equivalent (required if Batchelors degree is non-financial)Experience in management within the accounting / finance areaExperience in Freight Forwarding > 10 years at a regional or country leadership levelExperience in shared service centre operations (ideally implementation)Technical accounting capability and qualificationsProject Management SkillsAnalytical skillsExperience in building businesses on a high growth trajectory from a relatively immature base
