We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Commis II - Cold Kitchen to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of cold dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.Prepare and assemble cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, and desserts, according to recipes and plating instructionsAssist in the organization and maintenance of the cold kitchen area, ensuring cleanliness and proper food storageCollaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely food serviceMonitor and maintain adequate inventory of ingredients and supplies for the cold kitchenAdhere to food safety and sanitation standards in all aspects of food handling and preparationAssist in menu development and the creation of new cold dishes as directed by senior kitchen staffSupport other kitchen sections as needed during peak hours or special eventsQualificationsCulinary diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with a focus on cold kitchen operationsDemonstrated proficiency in knife skills and food preparation techniquesStrong knowledge of cold kitchen operations and various cuisinesAbility to follow recipes accurately and execute proper plating techniquesCurrent food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe)Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong teamwork and communication skillsPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysPassion for culinary arts and commitment to continuous learning and improvement
