THE ROLEReporting to the KBR Commercial Director and responsible for the commercial and contract management of task orders, from inception through to completion.This is a pivotal role, providing commercial support across our three core workstreams, namely Infrastructure, Energy, and Consulting. The Commercial Manager will work closely with Task Order Managers and senior leadership to ensure the successful delivery of individual task orders and the overall contract, driving best-in-class commercial practices, risk management, and client satisfaction.project descriptionKBR are supporting the Iraq Ministry of Planning with the development of economic and social policies within the varied governmental sectors to achieve the national development objectives. KBR are providing consultancy services covering economic master plan, project prioritization, technical and financial review, project management, ongoing project monitoring and negotiation support. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESProvide strategic commercial leadership across all workstreams (infrastructure, energy, consulting), ensuring alignment with overall contract objectives, internal approvals and client expectations.Act as a key interface between Task Order Managers, project teams, and client representatives, facilitating collaboration and the achievement of program deliverables.Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of commercial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the successful delivery of all Task Orders.Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including procurement, negotiation, award, administration, and close-out, ensuring compliance with internal KBR standards and client requirements.Support the preparation and review of contracts, subcontracts, and consultancy agreements, ensuring robust risk management and value for money.Contribute to the management of the overall client relationship, supporting business development, contract extensions, and the identification of new opportunities.Ensure all commercial activities are conducted in accordance with company values, legal requirements, and best industry practices.Be part of the delivery of relevant Task Orders where commercial input is required this could include assessment of commercial agreements, finance structures and financial outputs.EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEBSc Quantity Surveying or equivalentMinimum overall relevant experience 12 years.Minimum relevant experience 5 years in the roleMinimum Regional Experience 5 yearsProfessional memberships and charterships required; MRICS or equivalentSound knowledge of all commercial aspects of major developments and consulting assignmentsExcellent report writing and communication skillsExperienced user of MS Office and contract management softwareExperience of major projects in the Middle East, Arabic speaking advantageous.
