Job/Role Description:
  • Business Development Engineer Africa;
  • In charge Africa market, external(partly) and internal sales, basic/operational/logistical administration);
  • Resposible for business development, enquiries, quotations, follow-ups with customers in the region.
Major Tasks:
  • To develop sales in the market that ensures attainment of company`s sales goals and profitability;
  • Weekly reporting to Sale Manager MEA based in Dubai (ASAE)
  • To sell and promote Company Products profitably within the Company guidelines;
  • To ensure total customer satisfaction;
  • To visit customers to introduce company and products;
  • Enquiry handling (partly) Technical and commercial interpretation;
  • To obtain and maintain a thorough knowledge of Company Sales Policies and implement these policies with maximum efficiency;
  • To liaise closely with the Companys Sales organisation, both internally and externally, to ensure the achievement of both sales and Company objectives;
  • Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of national objectives.
  • To take full advantage of the Company Sales Department promotional and training facilities in Germany & Dubai, ensuring that the maximum benefit is obtained from these;
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counseling regional distributors; building and maintaining report with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Daily lead and call logs in Sales Force (CRM)
  • To follow up all quotes/enquiries;
  • To follow up all outstanding invoices;
  • To list AS-Schneider at all major EPCs and end users;
  • Order handling (partly) Order interpretation, commercial and technical documentation, inter departmental/supplier liaison, expediting, shipping, order entry and invoicing department support where necessary;
  • Building working relationships with the relevant external sales personnel, internal spares, service and technical departments, agents and associate companies;
  • Liaise/consult the with concerned person based in Dubai, India and Germany for project, engineering and production planning department to do the needful to minimize deviations and meet the project requirements;
  • Being a technical and partly commercial point of contact for customers, agents and associate companies on all relevant product enquiries;
  • Working with customers to solve application problems and propose suitable technical solutions, together with the Product Management where required;
  • Additional hours may be required to be worked from time to time to ensure customers expectations and organizational challenges are met.
