The hotels 202 luxury suites offer a rain shower, Jacuzzi and stunning news of the Arabian Gulf. About the Job:An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join our Housekeeping Team in Burj Al Arab.The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • To be responsible for the supervision and coordination of all the services offered by the Housekeeping department and to ensure they are carried out as per the department standard
  • To study and evaluate the operation of the Housekeeping Department, and suggest improvements to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • To assign duties and responsibilities to subordinates and assist the housekeeping colleagues in their duties.
  • To check the linen room, pantries, florist and stores to ensure smooth flow of Guest supplies, uniforms and linen.
  • To interact with individuals outside the hotel, such as supplies, contractors, and competitors.
  • To maintain records of all rota cleaning work , window cleaning, carpet shampoo, drapery cleaning, mattress turning, bedspread cleaning, blanket cleaning and general suite cleaning.
  • To ensure that all colleagues report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times
  • To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and department
  • To develop high performers and assist in their career progression
  • To ensure damages of hotel property is minimized by colleagues (follow standard operating procedures while cleaning)
  • Full understanding of KPI and Balance Score Card.
  • To streamline the operation activities in conjunction with the department KPI
About you:The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Fundamental school education is required
  • Degree in hotel management is desirable
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within the Housekeeping department in a 5 star property
  • Fluent in English written and verbal
  • Computer knowledge Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Able to adapt to a large multi-cultural team.
  • Group Trainer
  • Able to present and address large group of colleagues
