POSITION: Senior AccountantSALARY: up to 8,000 AED depending on experience and qualificationsHIRING COMPANY: High-end SalonWORK LOCATION: Dubai, UAEAVAILABILITY: Can join immediately (max 1-month)EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PermanentCANDIDATE PROFILE:Open to INDIAN and PAKISTANI nationalsMale/Female, 35 years old and belowJOB DESCRIPTION:Establish appropriate procedures and controls the department, which ensures that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the books on a timely basis and are adequately supportedEnsure presence of adequate internal control procedures for financial accounting and compliance with the established policies and proceduresSupervise all the activities of subordinates to ensure all transactions are accounted in Focus in compliance with the accounting standards adopted by the companySupervise month/year-end closing of accounts related activities to achieve the targets scheduled in coordination with other team members within Finance departmentsAdminister General Ledgers of all the group locations i.e. Head Office, and Branches, which includes the updating of the group locations, opening and closing of accounting periods in the system, appending, modification and closing of posting cycle for the journal vouchersSupervise the input of transactions into General Ledgers REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/SKILLS REQUIRED:Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or professional certifications such as ACCA/ACA/CPAAt least 6 years experience working as an accounting clerk/accountant / 3-4 years of relevant experience with bachelors degree / 1-2 years of relevant experience with professional certifications such as ACCA/ACA/CPAProficient understanding of Focus, Tally or PeachtreeCandidates with UAE experience would be preferredWorking knowledge of International Accounting StandardsUnderstanding of accounting practices in the services industryProficient in English languageEffective communication, analytical & problem solving skills; ability to independently take decisionsGood supervisory and planning skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAttention to detailGood employee management skills, and effective leadership qualities
