Senior Technical Officer

Job Description

The Senior Technical Officer is in charge of day-to-day technical operation of the venue including setting up for events, programming lighting, video and audio equipment for the event, and assisting visiting acts in the setup of their performance.Client DetailsGlobally recognized leisure and entertainment brandDescriptionWorking with the team to implement medium and long-term strategic plans of the Department in line with the vision, mission and strategic goalsReviews project proposals or provide feedback as well as budget implicationsIdentify new technology needs that ensure the venue runs efficiently and cost effectively (in coordination with IT Department)Assists in the planning of upcoming events including crewing and equipment allocationsAttend planning meetings to assist in the long term technical planning for the venue.Undertakes ongoing maintenance of equipment as required by the maintenance scheduleSetup and operation of technical equipment relating to shows and eventsSupervision of external contractors working within the company and external to the company on any events and ensure they follow all venue rules and protocolsAssist visiting acts in setting up their show, including making sure presentations are of correct format for the auditorium equipmentAny other duties appropriate to the postJob OfferCompetitive tax free package and additional benefits REQUIREMENTS: Graduate Degree (Bachelor) in Engineering. Additionally, a diploma in Arts and Stagecraft minor will be an added advantage5+ years of experience in stage managementTechnical AV experienceStagecraft and stage operation knowledge including sound, lighting, projectionBasic electrical, electronics, and mechanical principles as applied to stage equipmentKnowledge of standard operating and security procedures in her/his fieldGeneral and specialized computer applicationsAbility to manage change and diverse constituentsSpirit of initiative and responsiveness to arising challengesGood relationship building and listening skillsAccuracy and attention to detailAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentFluency in English
