Employment: Full Time Position SummaryDevelop and steer the economic impact assessment capabilityDevelop and steer the innovation in economic development capabilityDevelop and lead a portfolio of economic and impact evaluation projects, tools, and researchDevelop and lead a portfolio of foresight studies and contribute to the mega-trends developmentPrimary duties and responsibilitiesEconomic, foresight and impact evaluation publications and projects:Analyze and forecast market trends, and assess the implications of these trends on various sectorsResearch, synthesize and foresight future developments that could affect various sectorsDevelop statistical and econometric models for economic forecastingDevelop economic tools, simulators and dashboardsConduct economic and social impact evaluations to assess the impact, effectiveness and/or sustainability of policies and/or strategies and/or initiativesCollect and synthesize required data and develop synthesis of evaluation findings for conducted studiesAssess economic and statistical data on a need-basisRecommend innovative policies and plans to solve economic challengesLead and/or contribute to research, viewpoints, and capability building programsBusiness development:Review, on a regular basis, the policymaking landscape in the MENA, and work with stakeholders within and outside the company to identify potential opportunities to shape and inform publications and projects with advanced economic analysisDevelop mechanisms to scale the economic development and evaluation projects attract clients and generate maximum revenueCapability development:Conduct impact evaluation knowledge sharing sessions and capability building sessions both to clients and to client staff REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, skills, and abilitiesMasters Degree in Economics/ Econometrics/ Impact Evaluations/ Statistics ((PhD is a plus)8+ years of experience in econ. evaluationWorked with government agencies, multilateral organizations and/or think tanksExperience in conducting advanced economic analysisExperience in horizon scanning/foresightExperience in statistical, simulation, and econometric modellingExperience in conducting experimental evaluationsExperience in conducting different forms of evaluations (e.g. economic, social, environmental evaluations)Expertise in selection of appropriate data collection methodologies, sampling, data mining and data analysisExperience in economic data visualizationExperience in conducting business-oriented researchExcellent written and verbal communication skills (including excellent PPT skills)
