Your leadership as Director of Security will ensure an exceptional Security team and efficient protocols to support your hotel as a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.Hotel Overview:Ideally situated on the Arabian Gulf in Ajman, UAE, the newly built Fairmont Ajman has opened May 2015. The hotel close proximity to both Sharjah and Dubai airports. The hotel features 252 guestrooms and suites, including two luxurious penthouse offerings, a multitude of dining options and fitness facilities. The beachfront location offers guests a wide range of leisure activities including water sports and diving as well as access to shopping and cultural excursions. Event planners can take advantage of 2,000 square meters of indoor function space as well as outdoor facilities.Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceOversee the day-to-day management of the Security departmentEnsure overall guest and Colleague safety through the implementation and review of hotel-wide security measuresAct as a liaison within the community and policing forces to maintain awareness of current security issuesComplete daily Security reportsLiaison with other hotel security and law enforcement agencies and carry out investigations pertaining to all security mattersBe knowledgeable in the use of all security equipment, i.e. radios, cameras, electronic lock systems and report any safety, security and/or fire hazards or violationsSupervise and train all Security supervisorsPerform lock audits as required and assist in maintaining key controlManage the departmental budgetBalance operational, administrative and Colleague needsAssist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful wayFollow department policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety policiesOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Previous leadership experience in a similar role requiredComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications requiredCertification in CPR First Aid requiredUniversity/College degree in a related discipline requiredMust possess a professional presentationStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesVisa REQUIREMENTS: Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Ajman.
