Employment: Full Time The R&D Director will have 4 direct reports all of them Head of R&D in their field (Dairy, Snacks, Food and Oil). He will primarily focus on leading the R&D teams in the development of new products and product formulations, and the improvement of existing products in all aspects (chemical - physical - sensory).Client DetailsKey player in Dairy/Food IndustryDescription* Initiate & Deliver R&D track for "New Product Development","Brand Maintenance" & "Cost optimization" projects .* Provide input & feasibility into the "Innovation Road Map" provided by Marketing* Develop Product Prototypes, conduct Product prototype assessments including shelf life assessment to identify Lead Concept according to the Marketing brief .* Review experimental data sensory results and technical based hypotheses in making decisions/recommendations and to solve problems encountered during prototyping.* Develop the needed spec for all the ingredients used in the product formulations.* Develop with Manufacturing the "manufacturing process standards" including the bill of materials required to produce the designed finished products .* Work with Procurement to select & qualify the needed raw materials suppliers.* Work with Engineering to select / qualify the right machine suppliers that would deliver the designed product spec.* Ensures all ingredients are safe for use, supplier audits have been completed, raw materials spec, finished product spec and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) have been documented and verified before commercialization of any new product.* Lead the R&D Heads of all companies and Train them and build their capabilitiesJob Offer* Attractive package REQUIREMENTS: Education* Food technology or related fields degreeExperience* At least 15 years of experience in R&D with extensive experience in dairy industry (preferably with 5 years of experience managing a high performance R&D teams (with demonstrated R&D management experience / results).
