Projects Manager - Facades Construction

Job Description

Employment: Full Time The main duties of the Facades PM include, but are not limited to:Manage projects to meet time, cost and quality requirements;Support of Technical Manager input into project bids / tenders / pre-tendersSupport of Technical Manager in Liaison with The Client in negotiating feesMonitoring and reporting on project status (financial, programme, resource and Client satisfaction) using prescribed tools and proceduresEnsure projects are completed on time, within budget and to prescribed qualityMaintain regular contacts with clients and authoritiesLiaison with The Client or other project consultants concerning any issues relating to the faade scope or commissionTo be the main interface between The Client and companyLead teams to prepare project proposals for submissions and to implement projects in respect of planning, design and construction servicesProject set up following award using company systemsWorking with The Architect and Designer (if necessary) to develop concept details of a faade system to suit the required aesthetic, building type, building use and local climate providing budgetary advice where necessary.Management and/or checking of:Preliminary engineering design and checks of faades and steel structures/architectural featuresReports produced by other members of the teamWorking with the architect and Hyder designer (if necessary) to develop the design and specification of the faade system to a stage that it can be used by the architect to generate details for tender of the faade packageChecking and commenting on specifications for the proposed faade systemsChecking and commenting on faade contractors full system calculations and system shop drawingsAttendance at mock up testing, reporting on results of sameFactory inspection of faade manufactureSite inspections of faade installationGeneration of concise, clear, accurate written reports on the above and related issuesActing as Technical Directors deputy when requiredRecruit and train technical staff to discharge above duties and organise project teams for effective and efficient project implementationObtain first hand information with regard to business development and pursue relevant opportunities. Salary: AED 10,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringIdeally 10 years experience working in engineering in the Aluminum construction industryFamiliarity with faade systems, faade design and materials manufacture, a distinct advantageHigh proficiency in ACAD, Word, Excel and OutlookExcellent written and spoken English
