We make UAE a safer place by providing secure electronic payment solutions, cyber security systems and communications as well as security systems for Dubai International Airport and air traffic management and navigation systems for Abu Dhabis airport.JOB OBJECTIVETHALES ME has established a Defence Service Centre to deliver an efficient local support to our customers to fulfil their Operation & Maintenance requirements.The Project Manager function within the DSC plans, budgets, oversees and documents all aspects of SLA project. The PM works closely with the upper management to make sure the scope and direction of the SLA project is on schedule.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe PM oversees the full aspects of SLA POD project management life cycle. Moreover, provide a framework that will support all stakeholders and project teams to improve the probability of successful delivery. Additional responsibilities include:- Managing the project to achieve contractual KPI.- Managing local team (PMO technical Team).- Coordinating and completing the project on time within budget and within scope.- Setting deadlines, monitoring and summarizing the projects progress.- Project Reviews: Providing project status, risks and issues (preparing reports for upper management regarding projects status).- Assuming program interface with Thales LAS OME (key stakeholders and end user).- Building strong customer relationships (manage the interface between Thales and Customer).- Providing a central repository for SLA POD project and project information.- Providing a centralized management structure for the project management functions.- Outlining a well-defined project management process or methodology.- Leading and directing cross-functional teams to deliver the project within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources.- Capitalizing on best practices and proposing recommendation and improvement. REQUIREMENTS: WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS- Proven working experience as a Project Manager and 3-5 years of experience in a related area.- Excellent knowledge of management methods and techniques.- Highly organized and capable planner with excellent attention to details.QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor degree in a related field.- Certification as a project management professional (PMP).- Project Risk Management, statistical data analysis, program and portfolio management.- Budget and expense control- Proficiency in EnglishPREFERRED SKILLS- Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the Thales culture, that is, exhibit the Thales values of Compliance, Respect, Innovation, Responsibility, Teamwork- Ability to meet cost, time and quality objectives when delivering projects- Strong communicator; able to build strong relationships and convey complex issues concisely and accurately.- Effective presentation and negotiation skills- Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude- Analytical skills: Ability to solve problems, analyzing data and making decisions affecting the project.- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiencyAt Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
