Job Description

A physician with experience in family medicine and emergency medicine is sought for a private primary healthcare and wellness centre in Abu Dhabi, Postgraduate qualifications in one or both of these fields would be an advantage. Regular travel is required for this position with a frequency of approximately once a month for up to three weeks in a row. An interest in precision medicine and preventative health would als.o be desirableResponsibilitiesProvide a day to day family medicine and urgent care serviceConduct comprehensive screening for chronic illness (eg stress ECGs, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, spirometry, ambulatory blood pressure and ECG monitoring, basic audiometry, etc)Facilitate and oversee use of wellness equipmentAssist with strategic and clinical input in developing a precision medicine programmeMake use of patient health data in precision medicine analysesOffer comprehensive wellness examsAdministering vaccinationsRecommending specialists for treatment outside of their capacityEducating patients in health management and disease preventionContribute to the development of efficient pathways of care in accordance with current best practices REQUIREMENTS: REQUIREMENTSPriority goes to candidates registered and licensed in the UAEIn-depth knowledge of current medical treatments and proceduresGreat attention to detail with excellent analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesEnsure confidentiality and discretion at all timesWell presentedCurrent ATLS / ACLS certification5+ years previous experience as a family physician, GP or an emergency physicianEssential REQUIREMENTSExperience in general and emergency medicineAble to travel as per requiredEducational REQUIREMENTSMD, registered and licensed in the UAE, or with a degree that is recognised in the UAEA postgraduate qualification in family medicine and / or emergency medicine is advantageousBonusAn interest in preventative medicine, genomics, -OMICS research and / or functional medicine. There is an opportunity to engage with a wellness clinic and to participate in research projects
