Set against a dramatic backdrop of rugged terrain, travelers can expect to discover a destination lauded for its natural beauty, with archeological and heritage sites all within easy accessibility from the resort.Summary of ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Outlets Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following-Report to work on schedule time wearing proper uniform and name tag at all times-Maintain a clean and safe work environment-Be aware of all hotel services and promotions in order to assist any guests-Keep an up-to-date knowledge of the menus, beverage/wine list and Refreshment Centre menus-Review all group resumes and BEOs in order to ensure a successful completion of all meeting and Banquets responsibilities (as outlined in the resumes or BEOs)-Conduct daily shift briefing with colleagues to keep them updated with all relevant information pertaining to operations-Ensure that standards are maintained and all documentation pertaining to standards are utilized (i.e. F&B Basics, Process Briefs, JTC, etc.,) and adhered to during each shift-Check grooming and physical appearance of team-Supervises and assists in service for VIPs/ SA etc.,-Conduct regular floor walks-Oversee equipment breakdown and linen sorting-Ensure communication with in-coming shift-Responsible for progressive corrective action for colleagues/ leaders when performance issues occur-Handle guest requests and complaints-Attend meetings in absence of Manager as required-Maintain communication between Banquets and Events & lobby Operation and all relevant departments-Maintain good working relationships with all colleagues and leaders in F&B and relevant departments-Organize task allocation for different shifts-Check set ups to ensure departmental standards are always maintained-Responsible of cleanliness and maintenance of all equipment (including menus)-Cover the shift operation along with supervisors and in doing so, ensure the following-Meeting room and Venues set up is on line with the BEO-Food offering and Set up is matching the menus-Support the lobby operation and maintain the standards-Support order taking process if necessary-Conduct shift briefings and daily training sessions for all colleagues-Ensure all food and beverage requisitions are completed-Ensure that Departmental Logbook and pass-off is completed, ensuring follow-ups on any outstanding issues from pass-off-Ensure all guest feedback is communicated to the F&B Office (i.e. Guest compliments, GIA forms)-Ensure Ordering Contracted Labors & scheduling of colleagues is as per business requirements; anticipating business levels, schedule colleagues/ leaders for lieu days.-Ensure the payroll of all Banquets and Arteasan colleagues is submitted and time sheets are accurate in a timely manner-Work along with all F&B Outlet Leaders to have adequate leadership presence and colleagues presence.-Conduct any other duties or tasks assigned by Assistant F&B Director or F&B Director-Ensure that all financial targets for your outlets are maintained.-Assists with preparing re-forecasts and budgets.-Assist with menu engineering.-Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications-Previous Food and Beverage leadership experience preferred-Previous Point of Sale system experience required-Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required-University/College degree in a related discipline preferred-Excellent communication and organizational skills-Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities-Highly responsible & reliable-Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment-Ability to work cohesively as part of a team-Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)-Constant standing and walking throughout shift-Frequent lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs-Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting-Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa REQUIREMENTS: Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in the United Arab Emirates.
