Job Description

Employment: Full Time Job Duration: Permanent Employment Major FunctionsProvide key support to the Director, with accurate financial, business intelligence and commercial inputs on all projects in varied business sectors and growth stages enabling effective decision-makingBe adept with financial modelling for one and all projectsBuild and strengthen the Accounting and reporting function for the division. Ensure full compliance with IFRSEstablish and implement best-in-class financial SOPs for each of the projects under the overall frameworkKey support to the DirectorExisting projects: Provide reports on the performance of projects as frequently as required. Assist in live decision making by providing reliable financial inputs from a thorough analysis of the results.New projects: Assist in due-diligence of new projects by providing financial, business intelligence and commercial inputs on an on-going basis. Assist in reviewing key contracts and summarising key points and provide inputs on potential issues, and coordinate setting-up of legal entitiesFinancial modellingDevelop and maintain financial models for one and all projects in different sectors and at various growth stages.The models should provide comprehensive financial statements along with key KPIsSkillfully make relevant assumptions for the models, update as needed, and logically explain the outcomesThoroughly capture actual data against projections thereby facilitating prompt reporting on results compared to targetsPrepare presentations (in PPT, word memos etc.) succinctly explaining the financial feasibility of projects, including key metrics such as capital requirement, CAPEX, revenue, margins and EBITDAAccounting and reporting functionDevelop a strong accounting department at a division level and for each of its projects Supervise the team by providing ample guidance on tasks to perform within standard timeframes and ensure quality in all aspects, including data storage and retrievalConsolidate all financial data, coming from the various systems being used by each of the projects, into one common accounting and reporting platformEnsure full compliance with IFRS, and prepare financial statements for audit by the group auditor in the approved time framePrepare annual budgets for the division and for each of its projects for approval by the Board.Closely monitor that financial commitments are within the approved budgets and promptly flag any potential variancesProvide periodic detailed financial reports on the division to Company for consolidation purposes, (such as weekly funds position, monthly budget vs. actuals (with explanations for variances, cash flows, income statement and balance sheet with schedules etc.)Ensure full compliance with all local and international regulations (such as UAE VAT law)Issue and verify cash-calls for all the businessesImplement VAT strategy, including reporting and filing for all businessesEnsure adherence to DoAs and approved budgets for all businessesBest-in-class financial SOPsDevelop, strengthen and implement financial SOPs for all work streams of including its varied projects, such as control over revenue collections, cash-calls, selection of vendors, extension of credit facility to customers, processing expense claims, setting-up of bank accounts, payments etc REQUIREMENTS: 8 to 10 years relevant experienceFinancial modelling experience is essentialChartered AccountantCorporate Finance education at undergraduate or Masters levelAdditionally, MBA (Finance) preferredExcellent communication (written & verbal skills) in EnglishExcellent understanding of the company businessExcellent organisation skillsAbility to meet deadlinesMultitasking skillsKnowledge sharing
