As a Lifeguard, your attentiveness and commitment to safe practices will facilitate enjoyable aquatic and waterside experiences for our guests.Hotel Overview: Ideally situated on the Arabian Gulf in Ajman, UAE, the Fairmont Ajman has opened in May 2015. The hotel is in close proximity to both the Sharjah and Dubai airports. The hotel features 252 guestrooms and suites, including two luxurious penthouse offerings, a multitude of dining options and fitness facilities. The beachfront location offers guests a wide range of leisure activities including water sports and diving as well as access to shopping and cultural excursions. Event planners can take advantage of 2,000 square meters of indoor function space as well as outdoor facilities.Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of Security, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceWelcome guests to the pool facility and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experienceAssist in the cleanliness and the daily upkeep of the pool areaGuard and safeguard all guests members using the pool facilityEnsure guests are aware of all services and activities available at the poolEnsure that proper pool testing has taken place prior to guests using the facilityEnsure all guests are registered prior to using the pool and are aware of the rules of the facilityProvide a high level of guest satisfaction and safety through effective communicationFollow departmental policies and proceduresFollow all safety and sanitation policiesOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Minimum of three years experience as a Lifeguard preferred.Experience in UAE is an advantage.Certification in CPR First Aid requiredCertification as a Lifeguard requiredStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Frequent standing and walking throughout shiftOccasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbsFrequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, sittingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa REQUIREMENTS: Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Ajman.
