The RoleLegal Counsel will assist the Group Senior General Counsel in the day to day legal activities of the organization, including corporate and commercial work and will be responsible for all litigation cases in local courts and ensuring that business complies with local law and regulations.Key AccountabilitiesLitigation* Case Management - Preparing the case documents, collecting evidences, liaising with external advocates to obtain updates.* Summarizing submissions prepared by external counsel and reporting back to Group Senior Legal Counsel for instructions.* Judgment Translations - Arabic to English (proof reading) and important legal correspondence (English to Arabic)Corporate/Contractual* Working with standardized documentation to preparing initial drafts and initial reviews of non-disclosure agreements, lease agreements, articles of association, share transfer agreements, shareholder resolutions, board resolutions, power of attorney, legal notices, etc. for review by General Senior Legal Counsel.* Preparing documentations for company formation, corporate amendments and renewal of licenses. Assisting Group Senior Legal Counsel on corporate governance protocols. Interaction with business heads and business excellence where appropriate.* Liaising with the debt collection department of the business units to prepare the documentation for legal analysis of overdue debts. This involves collecting the necessary background information on the debtor and supporting documents of the debt for the evaluation of the debt recovery cases by Group Senior Legal Counsel.Qualifications, Experience, Skills* Bachelors Degree in Legal with at least 6-8 years in a similar role (multi sector exposure).* Mother tongue Arabic and excellent English - Arabic to English translation skills.* Excellent knowledge of UAE laws related to labour and various government departments.* Good MS Office skills.* Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail.* Driven by quality and willingness to go the extra mile REQUIREMENTS: *
