An experienced Junior Legal Counsel is required for our innovative global oil and gas company with employees both on and offshore around the globe. Leaders in health, safety and security our client contributes to the continuous access to data to enable their client to make highly informed project decisions.Based in the Dubai headquarters, this role will report into the General Counsel and occasional travel may also be required. You will assist the organisation with all legal advice and documentation, being often involved in the bids and tender process for global projects. This will involve negotiation to mitigate risk and at all times ensuring compliance with the companys policies and regulations. The successful candidate will also advise the acquisition teams regarding vessel and aviation charter, shipping operations agreements, support the technology and supply chain teams and work closely with internal tax advisors to determine potential implications for the international projects. Upon preparation of contracts you will determine if legal advice is required and assist to support all internal stakeholders and departments to the best of your ability. There will be a large degree of accountability in this role and therefore you will work with the wider legal team to implement and revise company standard agreements, templates and internal legal control. Management of commercial claims and disputes is also expected to be part of the Junior Legal Counsel role. REQUIREMENTS: Candidates wishing to apply for this vacancy must be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years in practice. It is essential that you have worked within an international law firm with exposure to clients within the oil and gas industry. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships across all levels of seniority with complex legal terms. Therefore, you will be heavily detail orientated, focusing on both quality and efficiency.
