Job Description

An IT coordinator must be knowledgeable in software, hardware and networks. They must be critical thinkers and problem-solvers with great attention to detail. Since end user support and teamwork are important aspects of the role, excellent communication and people skills are required.Hotel OverviewLocated on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates with sweeping views of the Gulf known for its natural beauty set against the backdrop of the historic Hajar Mountains. The hotel consists of 180 rooms and residences, along with a marina and beach club.Summary of ResponsibilitiesReporting to the IT Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projectsProvide advice on the most suitable IT choicesProvide technical support or training for systems and networksAct as link between end users and higher level supportInstall and configure software and hardware (printers, network cards etc.)Monitor system and network performancePerform troubleshooting, repairs and data restorationPerformance maintenance activities (e.g. backups)Maintain licenses and upgrade schedulesCollaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality REQUIREMENTS: QualificationsProven experience as IT coordinator or similar roleExperience in network management and help desk support is appreciatedSolid knowledge of IT systems and applicationsUnderstanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configurationAbility to troubleshoot and repair issuesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGreat attention to detailExcellent organizational and coordination abilitiesBSc/BA in information technology or computer science is preferredCertification (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ etc.) is a plusVisa REQUIREMENTS:Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in the United Arab Emirates.
