The energy and enthusiasm you display will create a fun place to work.Hotel Overview: Ideally situated on the Arabian Gulf in Ajman,UAE, the Fairmont Ajman has opened in May 2015. The hotel is in close proximity to both Sharjah and Dubai airports. The hotel features 252 guestrooms and suites, including two luxurious penthouse offerings, a multitude of dining options and fitness facilities. The beachfront location offers guests a wide range of leisure activities including water sports and diving as well as access to shopping and cultural excursions. Event planners can take advantage of 2,000 square meters of indoor function space as well as outdoor facilities.Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Housekeeping Assistant Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceLead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followedHandle Guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying the proper areasActively participate in daily briefing, daily warm up and department meetingsEnsure Room Attendants are informed daily about priorities in their sectionFollow departmental policies and proceduresReport necessary maintenance itemsFollow all safety and sanitation policiesOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Proficient in English (verbal & written) essentialMinimum 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity in a hotel Housekeeping environment5 star hotel experience preferredProven training skillsExperience with Hotel Property Management System, Micros-Fidelio desirableProactive with a meticulous eye for detailStrong organizational, supervisory and communication skillsAble to convey information and ideas clearlyAbility to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accuratelyWork well in stressful, high-pressure situationsEffective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and GuestMust be able to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work well with limited supervision.Female Candidates will be preferred.Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walking throughout shiftOccasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa REQUIREMENTS: Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Ajman.
