As you personally greet our Guests and assist them throughout the day, you will be empowered to deliver on our mission of "Turning moments into memories for our guests".Hotel Overview:Ideally situated on the Arabian Gulf in Ajman, UAE, the Fairmont Ajman has opened in May 2015. The hotel will be in close proximity to both the Sharjah and Dubai airports. The hotel features 252 guestrooms and suites, including two luxurious penthouse offerings, a multitude of dining options and fitness facilities. The beachfront location will offer guests a wide range of leisure activities including water sports and diving as well as access to shopping and cultural excursions. Event planners can take advantage of 2,000 square meters of indoor function space as well as outdoor facilities.Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Duty Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceGreet, check in and settle guest accounts while ensuring all service standards are followedAssist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful wayFollow department policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety policiesOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Proficient in the English language (verbal & written) is a must.Previous experience of atleast 1 year in Front Office operations is required.Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environmentAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPrevious customer related experience an assetPrevious PMS experience an assetComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications an assetMust be able to type 25 words per minuteMust possess a professional presentationStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a teamHospitality Diploma is an assetMust be flexible in terms of working hoursMust have the ability to handle cash effectively and accuratelyPhysical Aspects of Position:Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:Frequent standing and walking throughout shiftOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa REQUIREMENTS: Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Ajman.
