Our client, a leading dental clinic is currently looking for a Dental Assistant Team Lead to be based in Abu Dhabi. This role requires leading the practice nursing team as the Team Lead to carry out high quality dental chair-side assistance in a safe and effective manner. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing and strategizing the operations for the team of Dental AssistantsAssisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessaryAssisting dental hygienists with procedures when necessaryProviding great patient carePreparing patients for dental workHelping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental proceduresRecording treatment information in patient recordsExposing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipmentGiving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programsCollecting and recording medical and dental historiesProviding postoperative instructions as directed by the dentistCaring for dental equipmentForming preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study castsOrdering dental supplies and maintaining dental equipment inventoryFabricating temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in this requirement, the candidate needs to meet the following criteria:Diploma or bachelors degree in Nursing/ Diploma in Dental Nursing/Bachelor of Dental Surgery/Any course in Dental with minimum 2 years durationMinimum 5 years experience in dental assistance out of which at least 1 year in leading a teamExperience using computers for a variety of tasksStrong communication skillsConsistent professional appearance and attitude
