Contracts Manager

Job Description

Contracts Manager/ Engineer is responsible to successfully manage all aspects of Contracting activities related to infrastructure projects, Star Hotel projects, High Rise Towers, Metro projects etc., including Contract Administration related to works such as bonds, permits, insurance, cash flow forecast, finalization of Contract documents, preparation of schedules, monitoring for variance, claims defence, analysis, negotiation, preparing and submitting Monthly Interim Valuation, Variation Claims, Final Account, contract documentation, contract close out. It is expected that Employee shall be familiar with contracting industry standards such as General Conditions of Contract and etc. The Term includes HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting & Electrical Systems.Drafts all contractual correspondences with employerReviews the contractual correspondences with subcontractors / suppliersPrepares contractual letters to insurers, land owners and banks where requiredAssists in the preparation of the contractual part of claims and reportsOverviews the subcontractors / suppliers performance as compared to contract requirementsAssists Project teams to establish the contractual filing system to maintain documents and recordsAnalyzes main contract provisions, gathers and organizes documents and reports to Senior ManagementAssist Quantity Surveyors to analyze contractual situations with subcontractors / suppliersParticipates in negotiation of changes, modifications and claims with subcontractors and suppliersWorks on closure of main contract / subcontracts / supply agreementProvides contractual guidance to Quantity Surveyor ManagerPrepare contracts status reports of projectWorks with concerned parties to resolve contractual issues, claims and disputesManages the performance of all their team membersPerforms other duties as required REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications and Skills:BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying and have a minimum of 15 years experienceHave previously worked / currently working in the Middle East experienceMust possess strong Leadership and Communications.Background working for main contractors or sub-contractorsMajor project experience ( experience would be advantageous)Technical letter writing experienceA proven track record of managing subcontractorsTraining in construction contract law would be an advantageProven claims backgroundInterested candidates can send their CV online.
