With its strikingly contemporary architecture, this beachfront business hotel offers the highest level of comfort and elegance throughout its 369 guestrooms and suites, including the ultimate exclusive lifestyle hotel experience with Fairmont Gold.Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Head Baker, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow ColleaguesEnsure daily checks of all mis en place to ensure freshness and quality standardsPrepare daily production of breads, rolls, muffins and other baked goods according to standard recipesInspect product for quality and consistency during and after bakingReview production schedules to determine variety and quantity of goods to bakeMonitor inventory of supplies and order stock based on daily and weekly requirementsComplete production sheets needed for the daily operationEnsure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipmentMaintain consistency for all items leaving the Bake ShopFollow Kitchen policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Previous experience in a Bakery requiredJourneymans papers or international equivalent preferredDiploma Certification in a Culinary discipline preferredStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pullingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa REQUIREMENTS:Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Abu Dhabi.
