Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our growing team at KIKLABB on the Quarter Deck of the iconic Queen Elizabeth 2 in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the Finance and Accounting function at KIKLABB.This role will suit a self-starter individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and fun environment and wishes to develop a career within a growing company. You should be proactive, not afraid to think outside the box and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team. Key Responsibilities:Understanding the key deliverables of the business, identifying KPIs and reporting results to the senior management teamPreparation and presentation of monthly Management accounts and stakeholder reportsDeveloping annual budgets and financial forecastsWorking closely with the Management team to develop company policies and procedures Maintaining and introducing Internal control mechanismsUpdating and delivering daily revenue reportingMaintaining the general ledgers, posting of all entries and reconciliationsIssuing client invoices, tracking receipts and ensuring all payments are made in a timely mannerCompleting quarterly VAT submission and ensuring that all the relevant records as required by law are adhered toManaging both internal and external audits Salary: AED 4500 per month inclusive of fixed allowances. Additional benefits: Medical Insurance REQUIREMENTS: Educated with a university degree in either Finance; Accounting or Business StudiesProfessional Accounting qualification ACCA; CIMA; ACA; CPA or equivalent Must have at least 2-3 years experience within UAEMust have UAE VAT Experience of at least 1 yearProficient with Xero Accounting SoftwareOrganised and focused on delivery to deadlinesStrong communication skills (English both verbal and written)Strong excel skills and written skillsAble to establish credibility with finance and non-finance stakeholdersIntermediate/Advance user of Microsoft OfficeExperience of working with a Government entity and/or the trade licensing industry advantageous
