Mechanical Engineer - NEOMROLE PURPOSEPrimary duties of the Senior Mechanical Engineer is to ensure mechanical plans and design documents are in accordance to best practices, applicable codes and standards, and to monitor mechanical site activities to verify continuous compliance with approved plans, specifications and applicable codes and ordinances.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONSEssential duties and responsibilities of the senior engineer include, but are not limited to, the following: Review mechanical plans, calculations, models, specifications and related documents for compliance with NEOMs codes, laws, ordinances, regulations, policies and requirements; Monitor site activities to verify continuous compliance with approved plans, specifications and applicable codes Review BIM information to ensure completeness and accuracy; Witness site inspections and commissioning activities as needed; Coordinate with mechanical consultants to ensure Lowest Total Cost of Ownership; Ensure compliance with best practices pertaining to energy efficiency, sustainability and operability; Stay up to date with latest technologies, trends and best practices. Grant approvals, approve revisions and coordinate with other disciplines; Advise and consult with architects, engineers, contractors, builders on mechanical requirements & NEOM policies; Attend site visits and resolve field related issues; Review and approve field driven revisions; Attend meetings, hearings, emergency activities and other related events; Assist in the training of new mechanical engineers; Prepare all communications electronically through emails, texts, and other approved electronic media; Perform site visits to confirm existing conditions; Provides interpretations and solutions to problems that arise; Study and research new code requirements; Follow NEOMs Procedures for all tasks; Provide technical support to management and leadership;Perform other duties as assigned.
