Job Description

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:The Geotechnical Engineer will form part of an overall team responsible for leading and managing geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design work for a range of projects. This role requires a deep understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering, coupled with extensive experience in project management. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.

  • Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, including planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Conduct detailed geotechnical analyses and design for foundations, slopes, embankments, retaining structures, and other geotechnical features.
  • Prepare and review geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Perform site visits and inspections to assess ground conditions and construction progress.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Mentor and supervise junior geotechnical engineers and technical staff.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager / Supervisor.
